City-Wide Learning Technology Raises the Quality of Education in Schools and Beyond

January 2008 - Highlighting the impact of a powerful Learning Gateway integrated with valuable educational, administrative and communications resources, Microsoft released the case study on the Leeds Learning Network (designed and managed by Synetrix) this year at BETT 2008.

What's different about this story is not what can be achieved with technology, but what has already been achieved - through personalised access to learning spaces and communications tools, collaboration encouraged amongst students, teachers, parents and carers, and an increased focused on user generated content - which is currently serving over 100,000 pupils and staff within the Leeds metropolitan area Education community.
